ABOUT ME

Why the Name DontBreakMyBowls?

Hello! I'm Jennifer Plocinski, AKA "Bowls". The name DontBreakMyBowls came about from a routine dishwashing session with my husband, when a bowl dropped and broke.... my husband is witty and I can be clumsy. This is where the name began for my pottery business....long before I discovered yoga.

I began practicing yoga in 2007 when a friend convinced me that a hot yoga class would be fun. Sweaty and exhausted, yet never feeling better, I instantly became hooked on the physical practice. I spent the next several years exploring many different yoga traditions, studying with a number of gifted and inspiring teachers.

My desire to share my experience of strength, calm and mental clarity the power of yoga and meditation provided led me on the path of becoming A 200hr RYT.

Having been a Public School Art teacher for 13 years and working with students of all abilities, my style of teaching offers a variety of modifications, variations and adjustments. I encourage freedom in movement and expression and I strive to creatively inspire and empower all students, regardless of age or ability, with a powerful flowing asana practice.  I believe in the transformative capabilities that yoga brings.

I have a love of music, travel and headstands and am honored to be able to share the gift of this practice with others. When I'm not practicing or teaching yoga, you can find me making pottery, snowboarding, cruising the pavement on my longboard, or hanging at my favorite place, the beach, with my favorite guys, my husband and son.

Please contact me for yoga or pottery inquiries!

Thank you for following my journey - Namaste!
